The owner traveled 310 miles to be reunited with his stolen dog.

A year-old Malinois Shepherd puppy named Bandit went missing from his home in Côte-d’Or, France in June of last year.

His owner, Farid, was devastated and spent several months searching for his beloved pet. Unfortunately, his efforts were in vain. However, eight months later, a kind stranger found Bandit by the side of the road, 310 miles away from home.

Bandit had been stolen when he was just four months old, but thankfully, he had been microchipped, allowing Farid to locate him after he was found without a collar.

The two friends were overjoyed to see each other again, and the reunion was well-organized.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of a shelter, a thoughtful stranger, and the microchip, Bandit and Farid can now live together in harmony.

Farid expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m so grateful to everyone who helped him get better, and I cannot stress enough how important it is to chip your dogs.” Without the microchip, reuniting with Bandit would not have been possible.

Despite the long journey to be together, Farid is thrilled to have his furry friend back home.
